A new vicar for St Augustine’s
We are pleased to report that the Bishop of Southwark has made a nomination for the appointment of a new vicar for St Augustine’s. The identity of the priest remains confidential for the moment but our nominated representatives, Oliver and Martin, have been introduced to her and the formal interview process will now proceed apace. We will keep our congregation informed of progress.
Harvest Festival
We will celebrate Harvest Festival on Sunday 5 October when we hope to be able to give in abundance to our local food bank. We will hold a bring and share lunch after the service so please let any member of the Mothers’ Union know if you plan to attend. We will finish our celebrations with Sung Evensong after the meal.

Faithful God, thank you for Fr. Gavin’s ministry. Bless him and Louise in their retirement.
Guard and grow St. Augustine’s as we serve you together in this period without a vicar. Help us all to share responsibility, grow in faith, love one another, care for those in need, reach out to others and
welcome newcomers.
Send your Holy Spirit to light the path ahead for us. Guide those who are seeking the right vicar for us, and those who are seeking the right parish for their ministry, that together we may discover your way for the future and see your kingdom grow.

URGENT – CAN YOU HELP?
Food Bank stocks are currently very low and many more donations are urgently required. Especially important are:-
Cereals, long life milk, pasta sauce,
soup, tinned fish and tinned meat
Please continue to bring suitable food items and
leave them at the back of the church at any time.
These offerings are collected from St Augustine’s
each Sunday and are delivered directly to the food
bank.
